Dr. Kyle Anderson, M.D.
Kyle Anderson, M.D., is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine and knee, shoulder and elbow reconstruction. After graduating from the University of Michigan Medical School, he completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. He then completed a sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. In 1999 he joined the Henry Ford Health System and has limited his practice to sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and shoulder and elbow reconstruction. There he was established and served as director of sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship. As the head team physician for the Detroit Lions and former physician for the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings, Dr. Anderson has treated hundreds of professional athletes, as well as many collegiate and recreational athletes. He has authored multiple scientific articles and book chapters on subjects of sports medicine and shoulder surgery. Dr. Anderson has been a lecturer and lab instructor at several national meetings where he trained orthopaedic surgeons in newly developed techniques. He also serves on the editorial and review boards of several sports medicine journals.
