Dr. Lee M. Hoffman specializes in podiatric medicine, the treatment of problems of the foot and ankle. He is proficient in wound care and in the diagnosis and treatment of bunions, hammer toes, neuromas and other foot problems. When necessary, Dr. Hoffman can prescribe orthotics or perform surgery to restore foot health to adults as well as children. Athletes whose foot and ankle injuries keep them from enjoying their sports find comfort in his ability to get them moving again. Dr. Hoffman encourages questions from patients because he believes each patient should be well versed about their condition, potential treatments and follow-up care.
Dr. Hoffman graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in 1977 and did his postgraduate surgical residency at the Dearborn Medical Center. Board certified in Foot Surgery, Dr. Hoffman is a member and past Vice-President of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also certified by the American Board of Quality Utilization and Assurance Review Physicians. Additionally, Dr. Hoffman was a coordinator of the Detroit Free Press Marathon and has served on numerous hospital and association committees.
